Worship is not just raising your hands in the air and singing your favorite song in church. The biblical understanding of worship involves how we respond to God’s word. We have been called to be cheerful and obedient givers of our finances and our time. And, since God has called us to give, our response in giving is one way that we may worship God.

 

In Malachi 3:10 we find a passage of Scripture that includes the only words in our Bible where God commands us to test Him. “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.”
